Brad Lawrence is the host of Best In Show, a storytelling show, and Nefarious Laboratory, a variety show. He has also hosted And I Am Not Lying and The Moth StorySLAMS. He was the first storyteller to win back-to back Moth GrandSLAMS and is regularly featured on the Moth MainSTAGE, podcast, and YouTube channel. He is both a member and a featured storyteller with the BTK Band and a regular at such shows as The Liar Show, Adam Wade’s Super Stories, Seth Lind’s ToldThe Soundtrack Series, The Risk Podcast and How I Learned. In addition, his solo show, Monsters In The Wood, was presented in the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival to critical acclaim. He performs burlesque as Handsome Brad and works in burlesque productions throughout NYC including the fully scripted Hotsy Totsy Burlesque where he often serves as co-host, co-writer, and deus ex machina. He has co-produced and performed in storytelling and variety shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, South By Southwest Interactive, and in conjunction with WBUR, St. Louis Public Radio, USA Network, and Grant’s Whiskey. He can currently be seen performing his solo comedy and storytelling shows Childhood and The gospel of sherilyn fenn in New York and around the country and is hard at work on a memoir, also called The Gospel of sherilyn fenn. The Gospel of Sherilyn Fenn comes to the 2016 Frigid Festival.

The true story of how storyteller Brad Lawrence survived a childhood in the Reagan Eighties, the rise of the moral majority and meth amphetamine, the terrors of sex and nuclear bombs, and his guest role in a sibling’s suicide by escaping into pop culture. This is a show about learning compassion for oneself through the saving grace of cable television.
